The Emerging Leaders Academy Is Open For Enrollment
Change is the one constant in business today.
And change is occurring more and more quickly. Emerging leaders are being called on to lead and manage without the training development they need to succeed. It’s important to equip these leaders with the right tools and experience to quickly build their capacity to lead within any organization.
Studies show that the cost of turn over is anywhere from 1-2x the salary of the employee. Giving emerging leaders the opportunity to advance and build their skill sets through continuous learning programs helps organizations retain their best talent.
Graduates of the Emerging Leaders Academy gain advanced competencies in 4 critical areas:
- Self-management and personal effectiveness to drive excellence
- Interpersonal relationships, communication, and trust to break through silos
- Teamwork and collaboration to optimize processes
- Leadership to establish our new direction
Black Diamond Leadership has developed a unique model that describes success factors for High-Performance Organizations. Below is the horizontal axis of that model with our curriculum.
The content of the program was carefully created to deliver the most important aspects of middle-management development, based upon 20+ years of research into the skill sets that have the greatest impact on both current and future performance. The emphasis of the Academy is on application rather than theory. It enables participants to learn new competencies and gives them the tools to apply those competencies on the job.
The workshops use the latest techniques in adult learning, including simulations, case studies, behavior modeling, application exercises, and group discussion make the training come alive and ensure that participants translate the principles into a personal plan of action. This program can be taught to a large group or even a single leader with the trainer acting as a personal coach. The number of participants, structure and format can all be tailored to fit the needs of your organization.
The programs are modularized into 3-to-4 hour workshops that can be spaced over 6 months to a year. The Academy is also delivered via Webinar to lower travel costs. To achieve maximum effectiveness, many companies choose to add coaching between workshops to support participants as they apply what they are learning.
